Monday 19th to Friday 23rd November 2007 has been designated Anti-Bullying Week.
This year it is all about bullying in the community, with the slogan being 'Safer Together, Safer Wherever'. There is a growing concern about bullying in school that is linked with conflicts in the community. Cyber bullying in particular has blurred the boundaries between school and private time. Concerns also exist about bullying and harassment when children are in transition from home to school or school to home and their experiences as victims of bullying in under-supervised, often public spaces.
The school will be participating by having week of activities culminating with an interactive dramatic assembly presented by Caboodle Arts Co. on Friday 23 November.
We will also be raising awareness as a school by displaying Anti Bullying boards in the hall where both children and adults can post messages supporting Anti Bullying Week.
Beat bullying wristbands will also be on sale throughout the week (75p) to raise money for Childline and NSPCC.
