For Book Week this year the children engaged in many different activities which included designing a book plate and bookmark, writing a book review and writing a book!!!
On Thursday 6th March children and staff dressed up as book characters to celebrate World Book Day. This year the theme was 'Peter Pan' and donations were collected to raise funds for a new renal unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The week culminated in the school participating in Peter Pan Day and the Big Time Rhyme at 9.15am on Friday 7th March. Everyone in school was in the hall to read aloud the verse 'To the Top' from Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean. We were part of an attempt to smash the Guiness World Record for the largest number of people reading aloud the same verse at the same time in multiple venues.
