I have been a governor for four years and the school is very near the ward where I am a councillor.
I am retired and have plenty of time to serve the community. I know several parents of the children who attend these schools

I hold the position as an LEA Governor
Served in the Governing bodies at Glebe, Whitchurch and presently at Stag Lane . Spanning well over 10 years.
I do not have any children attending Stag Lane at present. I am very proud of this school. My daughter was a past student. She acquired her basic foundation at Stag Lane. She is presently a qualified doctor and a final year student doing research at a London Hospital specialising for PhD in dermatology. The present batch can achieve the same. This is a glittering example for all students at Stag Lane School how you can achieve high if you concentrate in your studies at all levels in your students carrier.
I wanted to become a governor to work with parents and teachers to enhance the educational need of children of various culture and ethnic background.
I have lived in this area for over 35 years with my wife and two children. I am a Councillor representing the Queensbury ward for over 5 years. I am involved in community work .Trustee of a registered Trust. Executive Committee member of the (HCRE) Harrow Council for Racial Equality.
I have always been interested in working for the community and getting things done for the local people. I strive to bring the communities together, something for children and young people to do, activities that help to integrate BME communities, facilities for mothers and very young children environmental improvements. Residents themselves to set up parents associations and clubs working with the Safer Neighbourhoods Team. We are working hard to promote how well we understand and respect each other.
