Pauline Trechfield

My name is Pauline Trenchfield and I have been a parent governor since last September. Before I became a governor I attended meetings to see how it all worked, everyone was very welcoming and helpful.

I became a parent governor because I wanted to know how decisions that affect our children were made.  As a governor I now contribute to those decisions.  I recently became the Vice chair of the governing body and look forward to my new role.

I have a son in year 4 he has just made transition form first to middle school so I hope to be around for a while.

I have lived in Harrow for the past 8 years; I am married ,a mother of two and  work fulltime for the Borough of Brent as the Training and Event Manager, I enjoy my job.  I love listening to music, watching soaps reading and surfing the internet but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.

I  am Chandrakant Lad and have been a parent governor for 6 years. I became a governor  to help the school in making decisions about the future and the direction it takes including appointing a Head Teacher if such a situation arises.

I can act as a critical friend to the Head Teacher and staff and strengthen links between the school and the community it serves. This can help the school provide the best possible education not only for my child but also the other children in the local community.

I have lived in this area for 20 years, have been married for 17 years and have one child in Stag Lane Middle. I work in the manufacturing industry involved with train signalling and I like playing football, badminton, squash and cricket

                                          Virendra Rathod

I am Virendra Rathod and have been a governor since September 2006 and am now Chair of Governors.

I always thought I knew the school education system, my children and how to bring up my children. My first session at a governors meeting changed my mind and 2 years later I am still learning the enormous job our schools do in shaping our youngsters with some support from interested parents.

Just taking a back seat was not an option once I knew how much local parents can help the schools by supporting them on governor boards, PTFA and fundraising activities.

I now realise that to criticise is easy but to contribute and make a difference requires time, effort and commitment and the reward is seeing the youngsters who achieve their full potential at Stag Lane Schools.

My wife Rita and I have lived in the area since 1991 where both our children were born and attended Stag Lane Schools.

I have worked for a large financial institution for many years and the valuable lessons learned in the private sector as well as my association with other voluntary organisations help me to better understand the needs of the schools and the community they represent.
