Stag Lane Schools Summer Fete took place on Saturday 7th June.
As usual the weather forecast was not promising but the rain held off and the fete went ahead as planned.
There were many stalls and activities on offer including a raffle, tombola, toy tombola, lucky dip, books, toys, plants, face painting, pick a lolly, animal hospital, groceries, henna, nail varnish, international food and refreshments, cakes, candy floss, crafts, duck pond, roll a ball, scouts, charity group, sand tumblers, bric a brac, toiletries, sweets, bouncy castle, unclimable ladder, ball pond, nursery inflatables, obstacle course, slide, space hopper track, charlie robot, indian head massage, aromatherapy and threading.
It was a very enjoyable day and it was so nice to see so many parents, children, members of the local community, former pupils, staff and governors together. There was a real feeling of community spirit.
A big thank you to everyone involved not only on the day but behind the scenes as well.
An even bigger "Thank You" goes to Mrs Bimal Patel and Mrs Jan Heath because without their brilliant organisational skills, determination and hard work the fete would not be the success it is.
