If your child has a problem please encourage them to
- Tell their class teacher
- Tell another child in the class
- Mention it in Circle Time
- Speak to a Buddy or Peer Mentor
- Tell another adult
- Tell someone at home
What can seem like a small problem to an adult can seem to be enormous to a child, and can often be quickly sorted out. Therefore it is important that a child tells somebody who can do something about it. Please make sure your child knows that we do listen and there are several options if your child feels uncomfortable about approaching a specific person.
Similarly, as a parent if you have any concerns about your child at school, we encourage you to come and see their class teacher in the first instance. Then, if necessary, make an appointment to see the Deputy, Mrs Jamieson, or the Headteacher,Mrs Evans, so that the matter can be discussed further.
If the matter is still unresolved please use the following procedure.
- Write to the Headteacher with your concerns.
- If the complaint is not settled, write to the Chair Of Governors.
- If the complaint is still not resolved, there are formal complaints procedures set up by the Local Education Authority. Information about these is available at the school or at the Civic Centre in Harrow.
