Year 4 pupils had to compose a short piece of music to reflect the sounds of picture given them. This was representative of a country such as Mexico, climbing mountains in Nepal and the Caspian Sea.

They were given a picture and country name, and had to research information about it that then as a group discussed what instruments, sounds and effects they could suitably use to represent that country,i.e. Rainsticks and ocean drums for the sea, drums were used for footsteps to climb the mountain.

What I liked about the Caspian sea music was we had different instruments. What was hard was choosing the order in which we played. 4B
