LO. To write a report on Kew gardens.

On Wednesday 26th March 2008, Year five went on a trip to Kew Gardens . We went by coach and it took 1 hour to get there.

First we went to the Conservatory. Inside it was very humid and we saw very rare plants. We also saw fishes including the big cat fish and a monetary. It was very big and it had many sections. We then went to watch a 4 minute video.

After that we went to the gift shop and we were allowed to spend no more than five pounds. We also had 15 minutes to buy the things.

Next we went to the lunchroom to have lunch and in the corner there were recycling bins to put our rubbish in.  Before that we went to play in the adventure playground to wait for the lady to call us for lunch.

After we ate our lunch we went back to the adventure playground to wait to go to the palm house.

Soon we went to the palm house and we saw gigantic trees. The lady there told us that if put a palm house on top of the original and then on top of that a giant broccoli that would be the size of a real tree in a rainforest.

We saw papaya, mango, banana, plum, screw pine tree and we saw ginger, pineapple and coconuts that were growing from the ground.

Soon we had to go back home in a coach again. The entire year group had fun and we learn a lot.
